Winch and Personnel Winch Operator

BIKS offers courses in both Norwegian and English. Please select your preferred course date for information regarding language and available courses.

The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority (ATIL) and the Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (HAVTIL) require basic safety training for winch operators. The requirements include both theoretical and practical training in the safe use of winches and personnel winches.

To successfully complete the course, participants are assessed through an overall evaluation of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Prerequisites

Before attending the course, the following must be completed:
Both theory and practical training MUST be documented / Online training is NOT accepted.

• Basic Fall Protection Course (NS 9610 or 113 – 7.5 hours)
• G11 – Lifting Equipment, Module 1 & 2.3
