Practical Information The course is conducted indoors in a training hall at BIKS Training Center. Participants are strongly advised to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
Safety shoes
Coveralls
Helmet
Gloves
BIKS can provide PPE on loan if needed, but for reasons of hygiene and comfort, it is recommended to use your own equipment.
The course follows Guideline No. 116 – Offshore Norge, which describes recommended procedures for packing, securing, and transporting cargo, as well as user inspection of cargo-carrying units (CCUs).
It includes both theoretical and practical training, and concludes with a written and practical exam. Both exams must be passed in order to receive a course certificate.
