BIKS offers a complete Hot Work course, including a practical fire extinguishing exercise, theoretical exam, and a hot lunch. The course follows the requirements set by the Norwegian Fire Protection Association and provides the certificate required by insurance companies for performing hot work. Why take a Hot Work course?
Anyone performing hot work must have the necessary competence to prevent fires and carry out the work safely. Hot work involves an increased fire risk, and insurance companies therefore require a valid certificate before the work can be performed.
The Norwegian Fire Protection Association administers the certification scheme on behalf of Finance Norway Insurance Operations.
