About the Course

This course is suitable for everyone, both in onshore and offshore industries.
The authorities require basic safety training for anyone operating cranes, forklifts, or machines. The requirements include both theoretical and practical training.

To complete the general theory module, participants must take and pass a theoretical exam.

Course Objectives

  • Increase understanding of the responsibility involved in ensuring safety when using work equipment such as machines, cranes, and forklifts.

  • Provide knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

  • Promote safe attitudes and practices in the use of work equipment.

  • Contribute to a safe workplace, improved well-being, and reduced risk of injury or damage to people, goods, and equipment.

The goal is to prevent accidents and incidents through knowledge, awareness, and responsibility.


Target Group

This course is mandatory for anyone continuing to certified safety training, including:

  • Slinging and signaling course G11 (lifting equipment)

  • Crane operator courses G4, G8, G20

  • Forklift operator courses T1–T8, C1–C2

  • Machine operator courses M1–M6
