Regulatory Requirements

This course is developed in accordance with requirements and guidelines from:

  • HAVTIL – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway
  • ATIL – Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority

These regulatory requirements make wire rope inspection competence critical for the safe use of lifting equipment in both industrial and offshore environments.


Included in the Course

  • Theoretical and practical training
  • Training in accordance with ISO 4309
  • Hands-on exercises using real wire ropes with typical damage and wear
  • Course certificate upon successful completion
  • Coffee and hot lunch both course days

Courses are conducted with a minimum of 4 registered participants. If fewer participants are registered, the course may be cancelled, and affected participants will be informed as soon as possible.
