2-Day Advanced Course – Available on Request Only

This is an advanced course for new AMU representatives who have already completed basic training as a Safety Representative.
The course provides an in-depth understanding of the role, responsibilities, and duties of the Working Environment Committee, and focuses on practical cooperation between employers and employee representatives.

The course is particularly useful for companies that are in the process of establishing a Working Environment Committee (AMU) and wish to strengthen the competence of their representatives.


Prerequisites

Participants must have completed:

  • Safety Representative Course – 40 hours


Course Details

  • Duration: 2 days
  • Time: 08:00 – approximately 15:00
  • Format: Online training via Teams
  • Price: NOK 6,700 per participant (VAT exempt)
  • Course start: By agreement
  • Minimum: 5 participants required for course confirmation
  • Delivery options: Can be offered as an in-company course or classroom course upon request

Background – Legislative Changes

As of January 1, 2024, amendments to Section 7-1 of the Working Environment Act have entered into force:

  • A Working Environment Committee (AMU) must be established in enterprises with at least 30 employees, or in those with 10–30 employees if requested by either party.
  • Where working conditions warrant it, the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority may require enterprises with fewer than 30 employees to establish a committee.
