Mandatory Basic HSE Training
BIKS AS offers the mandatory basic HSE training for Safety Representatives and Working Environment Committee (AMU) members, applicable across onshore, offshore, and maritime sectors.

As a safety representative, you serve as an important link between the employer and the employees, contributing to a safe, healthy, and secure working environment.
To perform this role effectively, the Working Environment Act requires that you complete and document the necessary HSE training.


We offer a wide range of HSE courses, both as online training (via Teams) and as classroom courses:

  • 40-hour HSE Course for Safety Representatives
    Mandatory basic training for safety representatives and AMU members within onshore, offshore, and maritime industries.
  • Refresher Course for Safety Representatives
    A course designed to refresh and update your knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • HSE Course for Managers
    Tailored for employers and managers with responsibility for health, safety, and the working environment.
  • Basic Regulatory Understanding (RVK)
    For participants seeking deeper insight into HSE legislation and how it is applied in practice.

Course Delivery

  • Online training: Conducted via Microsoft Teams – flexible and accessible wherever you are.
  • Classroom training: Selected courses are also available as in-person sessions.
  • Languages: BIKS offers courses in both Norwegian and English.
    Choose your preferred language and course date upon registration.

Legal Basis
The training requirement is established in:
The Working Environment Act (Arbeidsmiljøloven), Chapter 6 – Safety Representatives.
Employers are responsible for ensuring that safety representatives and members of the Working Environment Committee (AMU) receive the training necessary to perform their duties in a safe and competent manner.
