About the course

This course provides participants with competence in the installation, use, and quality assurance of fittings and small bore tubing (SBT) systems, in accordance with the requirements set out in Offshore Norway Guideline 143 (formerly OLF 120).

Correct installation of small bore piping systems is essential for safe operation in the oil and gas industry, maritime environments, and other industries where leaks may have serious consequences.


Target group

The course is suitable for personnel working with:

  • Instrumentation
  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Piping and process technology
  • Offshore or onshore operations and maintenance
  • Inspection, testing, and control

Prerequisites

  • Relevant vocational background (mechanical, instrumentation, piping, process, or equivalent)

Minimum Number of Participants
Courses are conducted with a minimum of 4 registered participants. If fewer participants are registered, the course may be cancelled, and affected participants will be informed as soon as possible.

The courses are divided between a theoretical and practical part. Practical tasks are performed within threads, fittings, pipe bending and pressure testing. Participants also receive training in the use of hydraulic pre-assembly tools. All participants must pass a practical and theoretical exam
