Target Group:
This course is intended for personnel who are part of rope rescue teams, or who have responsibility for planning and carrying out rescue operations related to work at height and in confined spaces on offshore installations.
Course Description:
This course provides basic and operational competence in rope-based fall rescue in accordance with Offshore Norge Guideline 113. The training covers both rescue at height and entry/rescue in confined spaces using supplied air and/or SCBA equipment.
The course combines theory with extensive practical exercises, providing participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan and carry out safe, efficient, and controlled rescue operations under demanding conditions.
Main Course Content:
- Regulations and requirements in accordance with Offshore Norge Guideline 113
- Basic rope theory and equipment knowledge
- Securing, anchoring, and rigging of rescue systems
- Rope-based fall rescue at height
- Entry and rescue in confined spaces
- Use of supplied air and SCBA equipment in rescue operations
- Roles, communication, and teamwork within rope rescue teams
- Risk assessment and HSE in rescue operations
Duration: 4 days
Course Hours: 08:00–15:00 on all course days

Validity:
The course certificate is valid for 2 years, in accordance with Offshore Norge Guideline 113.
Re-certification/refresher training is required upon expiry.
